About Syndis
Built by practitioners. Run by practitioners
Founded in 2013 in Reykjavík. Today, Iceland's most experienced cybersecurity team and a global practice with offices in Sweden, Iceland and Poland.

We started Syndis because Iceland deserved better
In 2013, Iceland had world-class engineers, ambitious businesses, and an emerging set of regulators, but nowhere to turn for serious cybersecurity work. Most options were resellers fronting global vendors or pool-staffed consultancies importing playbooks built for other markets.
We started Syndis to do the work ourselves, in our own context, with practitioners senior enough to be trusted with the answer. Over a decade later, we serve 400+ customers across the Nordics. We are still the company we set out to build.

What we believe
Three principles we won't trade away
These commitments define how we work with every client, on every engagement.
Every engagement is staffed by named senior practitioners. No analyst pools, no rotating juniors. The person who answers your call is the person on the engagement.
We tell clients what they need to hear, including when our service is not the right fit. The long-term relationship is worth more than the short-term sale.
We write our own offensive tools, tune our own detections, and publish what we learn. Practitioners doing real work, not resellers fronting vendors.
Leadership team
The people accountable for the work
Senior practitioners, named and reachable. Not an analyst pool.

Independently validated
Our offensive security practitioners hold OSCP and OSCP+ certifications, among the most respected credentials in penetration testing. These are not vendor certifications or theory exams. They require passing a live, proctored, 24-hour hands-on attack simulation.
Independent validation matters. It means the people running your penetration test have proven, under examination conditions, that they can do what they say they can do.
