Welcome, Petra! Leading our next chapter in Sweden

If you've been following our journey, you know that Syndis started in 2013 with a simple, driven idea: we were hackers at heart, wanting to break in so that no one else could. Over the last decade, we've grown from two friends hacking banks into a team of over 80 people across Iceland, Sweden, and Poland.

As we continue to grow, our eyes are increasingly set on the Nordics. We see so much potential in the Swedish market, and we need the right leadership to help us bridge that gap. That's where Petra comes in.

Petra brings more than just an impressive resume; she brings a unique, "boots-on-the-ground" understanding of what it's actually like to defend large-scale organisations. She joins us after a decade at Swedbank, one of the Nordics' largest financial institutions with 17,000 employees, where she served as Chief Security Officer, overseeing security for a team of 130 employees.

She knows exactly what our clients are going through because she has lived it. Whether it's navigating complex cyber threats, managing risk, or handling digital transformation, Petra understands the challenges of modern security from the inside out. As Managing Director, she will lead our Swedish operations and drive our growth across the Nordics.

I'm especially looking forward to working with the team to build an even stronger presence in Sweden and across the Nordics."
